By Dan's Papers September 26, 2026 4 min read

Sweater weather may be creeping in, but the East End isn’t slowing down just yet. Fall is serving up plenty of reasons to get out and indulge, from oysters and bubbles on the North Fork to Oktoberfest brews in Amagansett, seasonal sips, waterfront festivities and plenty of local specials worth adding to your calendar. Come hungry, because autumn on the East End is officially in full swing!

If you’re looking for a quintessential fall afternoon activity, look no further than Sparkling Pointe’s annual Local Oyster Showcase happening on Sunday, October 4! Located on the North Fork, the winery will be bringing together local oyster farmers, East End chefs and plenty of bubbles for an unforgettable experience. The walk-around tasting invites guests to explore six sparkling wine stations while enjoying two dozen oysters served raw, grilled, roasted and fried. Local farmers will shuck their distinctive varieties live, while chefs from some of the East End’s favorite restaurants create prepared oyster dishes with freshly made mignonettes and toppings. Participating oyster farms include Davy Jones Shellfish Co., Founders Oyster Farm, Great Gun Oysters, O’Brien Oyster Co., Oysterponds Shellfish Co. and Peconic Gold Oysters. Restaurant partners include Cowfish, El Verano, The Frisky Oyster, Hellenic Restaurant and Little Fish. Tickets cost $115 per person, or $100 for Sparkling Pointe wine club members, and can be purchased directly on the Sparkling Pointe website under the tasting house events tab. Admission includes a walk-around tasting flight of six Sparkling Pointe wines and 24 raw and prepared oysters. Additional sparkling wine, oysters, food and merchandise will also be available for purchase.

Oktoberfest is taking over Rowdy Hall in Amagansett through October 4 with German-inspired food and festive brews!
