Target has announced they will be opening a new store October 11 in the former location of Kmart in the Bridgehampton Commons, at 2102 Montauk Highway.

The new, 90,000-square-foot big box retailer will be Target’s 109th store in New York State and add to the more than 2,000 locations across the United States. It is one of eight new stores opening around the country this fall. It is expected to employ about 140 team members with services including Drive Up, Order Pickup and same-day delivery with Target Circle 360.

Target in Bridgehampton will also feature a CVS Pharmacy and Starbucks Café, and the building’s appearance, according to Target, will align with the town’s design guidelines to reflect its coastal vibes, inside and out.

Kmart opened in Bridgehampton in November or 1999, replacing Caldor, another big box retailer.

Target’s website has already added the store to its list of locations, though the opening is still more than two weeks away. Hours will be 7 a.m.–11 p.m., seven days a week.
