Great Neck students selected for 2026 NYSSMA All-State ensembles

Twelve student musicians have been selected to perform in the prestigious 2026 New York State School Music Association All-State Conference, joining some of the state’s top high school musicians in ensembles representing a range of vocal and instrumental disciplines.

The students, from Great Neck North High School and Great Neck South High School, will participate in the conference Dec. 3-6 in Rochester. Seven additional students from the district were named alternates.

North High School students selected for All-State ensembles are Abigail Bernstein, jazz tenor trombone, Instrumental Jazz; Regina Cho, violin, Symphony Orchestra; Bo-Chou Tsai, tenor, Mixed Chorus; Elizabeth Guan, violin, String Orchestra; and Ellie Segal, alto, Mixed Chorus.

North High alternates are Bernstein, trombone; Lindsay Stoller, soprano; and Elena Zhuang, flute.

The North musicians are taught by Dr. Pamela Levy, fine and performing arts department head and vocal music teacher; Dr. Esther Noh, instrumental music teacher; and Rosario Fuschetto, instrumental music teacher.

South High School students selected are Zachary Dorf, tenor, Mixed Chorus; Anyi Gu, soprano, Treble Chorus; Daniel Liu, piano, Piano Showcase; Louis Xin Liu, Bb clarinet, Symphonic Band; Skylar Lu, soprano, Treble Chorus; Michael Sun, Bb clarinet, Symphony Orchestra; and Rebecca Xu, piano, Piano Showcase.
