Mailroom Stores has grown into a one-stop shop for shipping and business services

By Long Island Press October 8, 2026 2 min read

As much of retail shifts to the Internet amid a wave of e-commerce entrepreneurs, leading to a surge in online sales and returns, a local Long Island company has grown into a one-stop shop for shipping and business services.

Mailroom Stores has moved to fill the gap, growing to six locations that provide a place to ship, pick, pack, return and store inventory as well as providing office services, from mailboxes to copies, and fulfilment to returns.

“I started this business 22 years ago in 2004,” said Kishore Hemrajani, owner of Mailroom Stores’ six locations. “I opened up my first store in Great Neck, Cuttermill Mailroom.”

They grew to six locations, including Huntington Mailroom, Plainview Mailroom, Port Washington Mailroom, Cuttermill Mailroom in Great Neck, Gold Coast Mailroom in Glen Cove and City Mailroom in Long Island City.

They initially worked with UPS and FedEx, but have expanded to also handle DHL and USPS to serve “all carriers.” FedEx Office doesn’t take UPS and The UPS Store doesn’t take FedEx.

“You can bring all your packages to us. We can ship, return, whatever needs to be done,” Hemrajani said, noting they also take returns from a wide range of services. “We work with all of the four major carriers.”
