Burgerology is coming back to Patchogue. Here’s what’s new

By Greater Long Island October 5, 2026 2 min read

Greater Patchogue coverage is funded in part by New Village at Patchogue, offering open-concept rental residences with contemporary design in the heart of downtown Patchogue.

Less than two years after leaving the village, the popular burger restaurant is preparing to reopen in the former Spycoast Kitchen space, bringing back its familiar menu along with a new concept that lets customers decide which new dishes deserve to stick around.

“I always wanted to stay in Patchogue,” owner Eddie Galatoulas told Greater Long Island. “It was our number one place. And when we left, I always said we would be back, just in a different spot.”

Burgerology left its previous Patchogue location at 11 Railroad Ave., adjacent to Stereo Garden, after Galatoulas decided not to renew the lease. He said he wasn’t happy with the direction the restaurant’s atmosphere had taken.

“We turned more into a nightclub scene, and that’s not what Burgerology is,” he said. “We are a family, fun restaurant.”

“Yes, we will still have a bar, football and the UFC fights, but I can’t stress enough that the vibe we want is fun for the family,” Galatoulas said. “We just want people to come here and have a good meal, in a good atmosphere.”
