13 Spooky LI Haunts: A scary good list of events for Halloween 2026

Halloween is on the horizon, and finding some frightful events could be difficult. To take some stress off your shoulders, we’ve compiled a list of events on Long Island that’ll bring the family together and could even scare the pants off you.

330 Fulton St., Farmingdale September-November, Sunday Thursday 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m. All Ages $20-30 per person Having a particularly hungry Halloween? Enjoy a meal at Haunted House of Hamburgers. The diverse menu is accompanied by a Halloween-themed set and actors; spooky enough to stay in season while still enjoying a tasty meal. Indulge in a mocktail if you please and make sure to save room for dessert.

Broadway Commons, 358 Broadway Mall, Hicksville Oct. 2-31, Hours vary All Ages $15 Not So Scary; $35 General Admission; $45 Fast Pass; $60 VIP; Free 3 and under Love a thrill? Head into Samanea New York Mall for a world of live actors, terrifying sets, and lots of screams. For a calmer experience, head over in the afternoon for playful spooks and high fives with monsters. Perfect for the little ones and adult scaredy-cats.

Center For Science Teaching And Learning, 1450 Tanglewood Rd., Rockville Centre, Oct. 2-25, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6-9 p.m. All Ages $22 Non-Scary Tickets, $27 All-Attraction Tickets This Halloween adventure will make you feel like you’re in a fairy tale. Walk through the enchanted forest and get your face painted and fortune told by Cinderella and Pirates in the mystical garden. If you’re looking for more of a fright, take a visit into the Spooky Woods. But be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart.

Long Island Children’s Museum, 11 Davis Ave., Garden City Oct. 17, Time TBD Ages 3+ $5 with museum admission; $4 members; $10 theater only That’s right, a three-in-one special Halloween special. Begin your day by strolling through the Long Island Children’s Museum, chock full of indoor and outdoor activities for the family. Next, decorate some pumpkins next to skating pumpkins! Feeling peckish? Turn it into a yummy soup! Before you leave, visit the theater to watch the puppet story of Uncle Vlad’s nephew, Chad, who is getting ready to graduate from Boo-niversity.

Long Island Children’s Museum, 11 Davis Ave., Garden City Oct. 18 6-9 p.m. Ages 3+ $16; $14 LCIM Members Maybe you want to visit the Long Island Children’s Museum, but theater was never your thing? Worry not, for the museum is also hosting a spooky (but not scary) ghostly gala. Come in costume to boogie down at the Monster Mash Dance Party. While you’re at it, be sure to visit the Spooky Studio and meet mysterious underwater creatures! And, what’s Halloween without candy? Decorate your own trick-or-treat bag and collect some ghostly goodies.
